The old stone bridge
Bradford-on Avon was a centre of cloth manufacture for hundreds of
years.
This old stone bridge, which links the two halves of the town,
dates from
the fourteenth century. It is unusual for the stone domed
lock-up built onto
the side of the bridge, which probably started life
as a chapel.
The Saxon Church of St. Laurence
The church dates from the 1120's. For many years it was lost, being converted into a
house and having other houses built on to it, and was only re-discovered in 1856.
