Submissions Temporarily Closed

Unfortunately I have not been able to update this web site for some time now, and am now holding a backlog of submissions which are waiting for page creation and uploading.

I apologise to everyone who has sent in submissions during this down-time, and assure them that it is my intention to resume updates at the earliest opportunity. Until then, it is requested that no further submissions are made until further notice.

Andy Gayne January 2004

This is a temporary measure, so please take this opportunity to go through your picture collection and select your most interesting views of the places you live or have visited. Pre-processing of pictures will be appreciated, as a correctly processed JPG image of 512x384 pixels, saved with 35% compression, will result in a file normally less than 30k in size.

When preparing your submission, the information that will be required is as follows:

  1. Your name, with confirmation that you own the copyright to the picture or pictures.
  2. The place name, i.e. the town, village or city district.
  3. The subject of the picture.
  4. A short description associated with the picture is welcome, but not essential.
  5. The approximate date the picture was taken.
  6. A request for inclusion of your email address, if required (if no request is made then your email address is guaranteed not to appear with the picture).
  7. The picture or pictures as an attachment. All pictures must be JPG files (not GIF) and preferrably have a maximum resolution of 512 x 384 pixels. Please process all pictures before sending them to ensure the file size is no greater than 100k.

Please visit this page regularly to find out when submissions have been re-opened.

If you are really desperate, text-only enquiries can still be passed to the webmaster during this period using the kama email address, which can be found via the Kama link on the opening page of this web site. Thank you for your understanding.
